Looking From One Year Into The Next

HELLO, it's me again, two posts in such a short time is unheard of. I like it though keeps me on my toes!
Hope you have all had a good Christmas and are looking forward to the New Year and all that it brings...
fresh ideas hopefully and nothing to do with red or green or sparkle, well maybe a bit of sparkle...

My first class is on Saturday Jan.11th  2014 - Pastel Medley

A nice array of pastel inks, papers, star brads, bobbles and ribbon tape. I enjoyed playing about with the new tapes with the adhesive backing...

You can get some lovely checks...
Sneak peek on the first card using the tapes on a tag card.

My second sample card is a stamp which I have been waiting to use since I started to make my Christmas cards, by Inkydoodles...

Perfect for a birthday or you could use it for a baby card....

Pale green card and white pompoms go well together.

I have another class for Sat. 8th Feb. which is Get into Shape...using different shaped cards but will be back with samples for that next time.
Let me know if you would like to come along to any of the classes.., until then take care all and have a very Happy New Year and look forward to seeing you in 2014.
                                                                  Thank you,

Cards from Friends.

Hello everyone I am back again.

I forgot when I posted onto my blog yesterday that I had a photo of the Christmas cards all the crafting ladies had made for me and I was going to put it up.

So here it is, a BIG THANK YOU to you all, I love them.....

My metal heart frame comes in handy every time. Just got them all on.

                                                     Happy Christmas Eve

The Last Days of December...Wow!!!!

Hello everyone
Down to the last few days till the big day, where has the time gone! I have only just finished my cards for the family but I have enjoyed making them. There are a few samples lower down the page to look at. I wanted to show you the photos first we tried to take of Charlie for this Christmas post. Not easy as I am sure you will know if you have cats, they don't like any contact, especially if you are trying to get a Christmas collar or hat on them.... Both me and Leanne had loads of fun and laughs too at the expense of Charlie, although he did get lots of his favourite biscuits(quite a lot too!).

Beautiful photo of the collar, Charlie not impressed.....

The hat ended up round his middle by the time we got this photograph...

Lucky shot this one after tea, you can just see my hands with the nibbles...a bit of bribery.

All good fun but not so sure Charlie would agree.
Oh, and he wanted to 'help out' with the wrapping.

I decided this year to have a real Christmas tree and put it in the bay window. It's funny how when we choose a tree we think we have the space to put a large elephant. Stephen's last words "Does it not look too big". We had to chop a bit off the top and it was fine, just squeezed it in.

Doesn't he look handsome.

Even better when decorated.
Next year I may even get a smaller one!!!!!

These are the cards I made for my family....
This one was for my younger sister, she loves anything with gingerbread men on.

This is for my other sister, and for those of you that came on the Christmas card class can see I have slightly adapted a card that we made.

I made two of this design, one for my nephew and adapted it for him indoors too!
I love the snowman stamp on this card I made for my other nephew.

It's a bit sad when you come to the end of making Christmas cards but great to think you can begin something new.

I also made some crackers using the the Which Craft  small cracker pack.

Enjoyed making cards with the bunting frames too.

There's a sneak peek of my new Christmas lights very rustic they are.

A bit of white embossing on this card stands out nicely against the craft card...

Well I'll be off now to work on my January and February classes and post some samples as soon as...

Thank you for popping by and hope you all have a very Happy Christmas, and a big thank you for all your support in 2013 and look forward to seeing you in 2014.
Take care.

At Last My Decoration is Finished....bring on 2014.

Hi everybody
At last my decoration samples are finished and I have so enjoyed making them - it spurred me on to make more.
I love this time of year gathering Christmassy things whether it be card and paper, ribbons and buttons, wrapping paper and tags, candles that smell of Christmas, I love it. All the colours of Christmas too, nice warm and glittery things, food too..... Christmas shaped chocolates and biscuits, ginger spiced things especially the coffee in Starbucks...Gingerbread Spice Latte... yummy!!!
Getting distracted from what I am supposed to be doing and that is the samples....

I showed you the banner on the previous blog post that is the morning's make... and the 8" x 8" card is the afternoon's make...

White poinsettias and a sparkly Christmas tree is the theme this time, using craft card and a great background paper from Woodware featuring 'Merry Christmas' across it...
Hope you like it.
Only a few spaces left for the decoration class, Sat 14th Dec.

Just on the last of the Christmas packs for the second of my classes on Sat 23rd November...
Sneak peek at the packs......

Found some cute wooden Christmas trees when I went to Paperchase in London in September. I have seen some similar in small packs in Hobbycraft too! Wonderful place Paperchase wish we still had one nearby...
Great for knick-knacks etc.

Another good find while I'm on the subject - I found this holder for garden twine, which I use a lot on my cards, from Asda...

Hopefully it will always be on the reel looking pretty when I need it and not buried under a pile of papers!!!
                                                                    ______________

Joy to the World.....

Hi ladies
Busy time of year for us crafters November, most of us have started our Christmas cards, if not, bought stamps etc to make a start. I am busy with the second of the Christmas card classes which is on the 23rd November, cards done just some of the pack to finish... in the mean time I have made the Bunting for the first half of the decoration class which is on the 14th december, a bit later than normal because I couldn't book the hall the week before as it was already booked up. Never mind.

Thought I would start right at the beginning with my first bunting- bit of playing before I get it right....

Then the mess starts...........

Then the cat decides to join in........

Then he gets down and decides to stay........
Eventually I get my desk back to myself with a bit of bribery.
I hung the bunting across my shelf just to get the shape....

Sneak peeks of the other three that make up the word 'JOY'.

Hope you like the red and pale turquoise colour scheme.
Silver bells, silver snowflakes, felt, embossed glitter and lots of matching ribbon and of course buttons all add to the Christmas effect.

As we are on the subject...Christmas...I thought I would show you my new silver heart lights I got for my craft room from Dobbies garden centre, these are the third ones, as the other two sets had some lights out and some flickering.... I was beginning to think I wasn't supposed to have them, but I love them, third time lucky... Hope you like them...
They are so uplifting when you are crafting on a dark day, the more lights the cosier it looks!

Always the last pictures go to Charlie. One where he is squeezing behind the back of the sofa because of the fireworks...fattie cat... small space...

And just before I was going to post this blog he decides to sit on my chair...
Got the feeling I am being stalked....

Thanks for stopping by and I will be back soon with the other half of the decoration class, a Christmas card.
I have the MME paper and the Ink pads to sell if anybody would like them. I will bring them along as usual to my next class.
Bye for now..

A Halloween Post/ Christmas Sample

Hello there everybody
Just thought I would post another sample of the Christmas cards we are making on the class this Saturday and also show you the Halloween door hanger I made for my nephew.

Needed something long to curl my card and couldn't find my wooden kebab sticks so had to use my lethal metal one, perhaps won't bring them on Saturday!

I was finishing this hanger off at 8am this morning, that's keen... Truth be known I forgot to put the rubbish bins out last night before it went dark and Stephen was away, so I had to be up early to get them out. Surprising how much one can achieve when one starts early. Trouble is I am now ready for bed at 9pm.

Pumpkin was cut out early too and soup made... Bit basic but all good fun...

Last but not least the peek you have been waiting for. Paper again from Bazzill Basics- 'Count Down to Christmas' with a great spot design on the reverse, my favourite spots... smells lovely too!
Paper addicts will know what I mean..
See you on Saturday.
Take care.

First Peek At Cards For Christmas Classes

Good Afternoon everyone
Hooray I have got my computer back, can't believe I have missed it so much- what am I coming too!
It has been away to India with my hubbie as he needed it to work with. I know now what I need to ask Father Christmas for...I have been a very good girl! When I look back I would never have thought I needed any form of Laptop computer or Kindle as I always hated technology and couldn't understand it, maybe I need to re-phrase that, I still don't understand a lot of it, but, I am learning...slowly...
I have been desperate to get my Christmas samples on the blog for the ladies that are on the first class, 2nd November. I was going to work on Leanne's Laptop but it is so slow...anyway here they are...

I have used a scalloped craft card which I got from Craftwork Cards and the checked paper is a Bazzill Basics from the Nordic collection. I have been waiting ages for the christmas papers to come in. The stamp is Patch Reindeer from Woodware or should it be Patch the Reindeer, that sounds better. There are also nice wordings on the stamp to and a snowflake which is always handy... Used a bit of felt as well and when I took the picture I forgot to put his bell on.

My second card is more like a tag within a card.

Gate-fold card used this time in the craft card in order to make the curling effect. Curling is the new folding!
The wreath has been stamped in Adirondack espresso and embossed with clear embossing powder and then coloured in with Promarkers.
Hope you like the samples I will put another one on if I can manage it. I need to work more quickly, that is always my motto but I have trouble achieving it, I can easily wander off to make tea like I have to right now.
Pity we have to do other things!
Thanks for dropping by.

The first one will be on Sunday 20th October and the second Tuesday 22nd October. Tuesdays class will be a repeat of Sundays. It will be £13.00 for the class with a freebie Glitter glue which we will be using on the cards.

The theme on this class is three cards using one stamp set. The stamp being a Woodware clear stamp called 'Huge Snow'. Colours used are pale blues, greys and browns with a bit of glitter.

There will be plenty or tea/coffee and cake, hope you can make it.

Please let me know as soon as you can because of the limited places.
