Hobbies at the Ready!

Good Afternoon ladies,

It has been a while since I last blogged, apologies, crafting ideas seem to have gone out of the window!!!!
I have been busy in the garden while it has been nice so I suppose I have had my thoughts on that. That is my excuse anyway and I am sticking to it. When the sun is shining you feel the need to be outside doing something....I can here everybody saying "yes..sunbathe, relax".
Anyway the mojo as they say is back and my next class is up and running!

I have split the two classes to:-

Sat.25th July and
Sat. 1st  Aug.
Both classes are a full day with the usual six cards.
£24:00 per class

I have titled it "Hobbies" which covers what I was trying to explain at the last class, Gardening, Cooking, Flower Arranging etc.
Covers a multitude of ideas for cards for your family and friends.

New Graphic 45 papers of which I have the 6"x6" pads to sell.

Deep greens, rusty oranges, cool blues and mustard yellows, a lovely combination in the books.

The blues go first with the idea of Jam making:-

Then the Flower arranging with the orange shades:-

Green for the Gardening is the final of the samples.
A few new stamps used and some older ones for the backgrounds too!

Hope you can come along and join me.

Last but not least at all, for those who watch Charlie avidly, I thought I would share these photo's with you.....

This is him keeping the wind from blowing the branches away which we have cut down!!!!

Keeping an eye out for anybody else who would want the branches!!!! As you can see they are Charlies!!!

The cleverest of cats that helps with the crossword puzzles!!

He likes to be on the front line.
Take care and thank you for popping by.

Patchwork......

Good Afternoon ladies,

Hope you are all enjoying your Bank Holiday weekend.

I have been busy with my next class, making cards with a Patchwork theme. I have been wanting to do this one for ages, as most of you will know that I love anything to do with sewing. There are always plenty of buttons and ribbons on my cards!!!!!
I wanted to use bright colours especially after the men's cards which where a little darker..... not that I don't like the blacks and the blues.

Pinks, yellows, greens and turquoise are my colours for the Patchwork cards.

Saturday  June 27th
Sunday    June 28th

These classes will be a full day with the six cards as normal.

I got a little inspiration from the flowers in my garden, strong pinks and buttery yellows...

Thought it might be nice just to show you all the things I take on board when thinking about designing the cards!!!!!

I always love pinks and yellows together .....

A mixture of spots, checks and flowers, some are My Minds Eye papers that I have used, some new ones, some old favourites too!

A nice Patchwork stamp from Woodware.
                                            New Liquid Pearls too!

The first sample is made using the new stamp and one of the Liquid Pearls.

A little bit of paper folding on the second card!

Third sample using the patchwork theme.....plenty of faux stitching on this card.

Hope you like them as much as I do, nice and bright.

Let me know if you would like to book a class.
Take care and thank you for popping by.

Black and Blue.....

Hi Ladies

Hope you are all well.
Thank you to all the ladies that came along to my home classes this last weekend.

My next classes I have split into two Saturday afternoons with the  three cards again.
Men being the topic this time:- Black and Blue.

Sat. 30th May
Sat. 6th June

1:15pm till 4:15pm approx.
£12.00

I like the Graphic 45 papers at the moment, so using them on these cards:-

Always a teaser as to what I am going to use as well...............

I stamped the large 'Golf ' stamp from Woodware onto the papers giving it a different look.

Magenta stamp used for this card, giving it a vintage look when stamped onto Kraft card.

Both of these stamps I will have on sale on the day......... as with the Graphic 45 papers too!

Hope you like the cards just one more to make, which as always will be the surprise.
Let me know via my email at Craftyhearts if you would like to come along.

Take care all and thank you for popping by.

May...Purple Haze

Morning ladies,

Hope I find you well. Just a small post with the samples for the May classes. Saturday the 9th and Sunday the 10th...Saturday being booked already. They are afternoon classes, three cards in the pack, 1.15pm till approx. 4.15pm - £12.00

As I hold the classes at home at the moment I can only fit seven in at tops....Stephen seemed to think that was a lot on the extention room floor.....no comment on what he meant!!!! He was just joking of course, but I don't think he realises just how many papers I have!!!!.....never mind the bodies!!!

Anyway back to the point of this post.
Purple being the theme:-

                            Purple spots and stripes...

                        A little flowered paper too!

The first sample card is made to look like an envelope and I have used stamps from Card-io which you can all have a go with and I have them to sell too!

This is a 7"x 7" scalloped edged card.

Second card I have used a Woodware stamp.

That is just a sneak peek of course!!!!!

There is a nice surprise with the bags that the cards come in, which I hope you will all like.

For those of you who like to follow Charlie, he was having a good look round the table when I had set it all out for everybody last weekend....

Think he might have spotted something to knock off the table......

See you all soon with another sample.

Take care all and thank you for popping by.

Botanical Tea sample

Hi Ladies

Managed to finish the third sample for the April class- Botanical Tea.

One of the papers has lovely strips of flowered stamps which I have used for this card. What will be nice is that everyone will have different pictures, but all co-ordinating colours

Thought you might just like a couple of pics of Charlie up to no good!!!!

My tweezers ended up in the bin. I have lost quite a few craft items I wonder who could have lost them!!!!
Notice on the middle picture one back leg on my card....
Bye for now.

It's In The Tea!

Good Morning ladies and a Happy Monday to you all.

I have been very busy card making for my new home classes, which I have split into two so I can accommodate everyone. Could do with a bigger house!!!! I think I may have seen that written down somewhere for us crafting ladies who start off with a shoe box full of crafting goodies and move onto a wardrobe then a room etc.

Botanical Tea is the April theme, 11th and 18th the classes.
Graphic 45 are the papers I used, the name taken from the papers. Pinks, blues, greens and browns, an array of colours to suit all.

Some nice flower buttons and cotton ribbon.

The first card I used my own stamp of a tea cup.

The second card I used a stamp from Woodware, which I will have on the day for sale.

I love the flowers on this stamp, which I have made using the rolled felt, which some of you will be familiar with!
Hope you like them!

I will be back, (heard that somewhere before) with the third sample as soon as one has finished it.
Watch this space.
Thank you for popping by.
