Multi tasking........

Hello everybody

Hope you are enjoying this nice spring weather, not... an indoorsie day today me thinks.
Been busy decorating the hall and landing of late. Hubbie painting all the woodwork, which seems endless, and  I have just finished wallpapering this morning, thank goodness. Just the emulsion now, and Hubbie is tackling that as we speak...or as I type.

This morning I was sorting all the washing to put in the machine, pasting the next piece of wallpaper ready to put up, while waiting for that, I was stamping things ready for the packs.... think that is called multi tasking... in a big way. You have just got to do these things...good job I enjoy...not the wallpapering, nor the washing, I mean the crafting...

Sneak peek at the packs for April... Spring Chickens

Here is a peek at the pile of card I have die cut ready for the class, looks really good in co-ordinating colours, every though I say so myself......

Sneak peek of a tiny flower I have used on one of the cards.

Off to carry on with my packs, after a cup of tea that is and I better make one for the worker who is still painting....

Take care till next time, and happy crafting.

Count Down To Spring.......

Hello everybody
Taken a few photographs of the spring flowers from my garden so thought it would fit in nicely with the title for this blog post. Spring is on its way thank goodness, with the nights getting lighter a little later and the mornings coming lighter earlier.... that's a tongue twister. All for the better.

I love seeing all the daffodils coming in to bloom............

Last year I planted more crocus bulbs in my rockery, as every year the birds eat them and I only ever have a few to show. Don't mind bird sharing but I think they get a big greedy.  They look much better this year.

                                          Love the primroses too!!!

Lastly the tulip bulbs planted in my pots, just showing their leaves, some of which should be the ones Jean kindly gave me, that came all the way from Holland. I know all tulip bulbs normally come via Holland, but mine came via Jean, via Holland...... Thank you Jean...

Now better get back to the samples for the April class before you all get bored of the gardening lark!!!

Saturday 5th April is my 'Spring Chickens' class.

Bright shades of yellow, orange and blues.

Now you can see what I am talking about with this sneak peek of a chicken....

My May class is Saturday 3rd and will be cards all male themed, but will get back to you as soon as.....
Thank you for dropping by.
Take care and see you soon.

'Sew Lovely' Class...

Morning ladies
Just thought I would pop another sample on to the blog for you which is for the March 8th,  "Sew Lovely" class.
A little bit of sewing on this card- putting the buttons onto the ribbon binding which I have in stock. Ladies that don't want to be sewing can glue the buttons on if they wish....

I have also stamped a lovely sewing theme, great for colouring in with Promarkers.

                                                             Just a peek!!!
There is a scented theme going on with this class.

Off to carry on making up the packs, enjoy whatever you are doing today. Take care till next time.

P.S. Always a little help from my best buddy.

Onward To March...

Hi everybody
Think this is a bit unheard of to post, two posts for my blog in the space of two days, but, there is always a first. I must have too much time on my hands, dare not say the words IN FRONT  as when I say that something comes along and puts me behind. Beginning of February I was ill with a cold and cough and only just recovering. Anyway looking up to the bright side and ready for March. It's nice to see a few daffodils and crocus popping there heads above the ground bringing us some lovely colours and making us feel that spring is just around the corner....
Talking of bright colours I caught Charlie on Leanne's new throw this morning and couldn't resist taking a photograph. Funny how animals find something new and cosy to lounge on!!! Charlie is very predictable, we can time him on how quickly he finds something new to curl up and go to sleep on....

Luckily for Leanne he didn't make a mess. Looks cute though!!!

Starting from March my classes will be going up to £24.00
Saturday 8th March will be my first class and the theme is Sew Lovely. I have taken it from the Papermania collection that is out at the moment and has a mixed bag of colours, all to do with sewing. Just up my street as most of you will know, anything material looking, stitching stamps, buttons, ribbons and pins etc. I love.

This card not only looks pretty it smells nice too, with an added hidden secret, which you will find out on the class.

Different angles show off the added decorations.

The second card shows off a pinwheel which a few of the ladies made when they came along to the weekend classes. This time I have scored them ready so there is no need to bring along your Hougie board. I can just hear a sigh of relief!

Sat. March 8th - Sew Lovely
Sat. April 5th - To be named soon

Send me an email if you would like to come along to any of the classes.
Thank you for dropping by and hope to see you all soon.

Home Classes and Birthday Treats....

Hello everybody
Hope I find you well and busy crafting as it seems to be the best thing to be doing while the weather is somewhat horrible still.
I have been busy over my Birthday weekend with the two classes I did on Saturday and Sunday. Thank you to all the ladies that came along, we all had a great time crafting, eating cake and on Saturday drinking not only tea but fizzy stuff too....oh! and very often laughing out loud at tales that were told!!!!!
We had a few birthdays to celebrate and an anniversary too.
Took a few pictures at the start of the class....

Above are the three cards we made with the Vogue collection from Craftwork cards. If anyone would like any of the papers etc just email me. Or if you're on the next class I will be bringing them along.
Take note of the clean and tidy table at the start of the class.........

Doesn't take long for us crafters to make a mess. Just wouldn't be the same if we had to be tidy!!!!!

Notice the bubbly bottle, thank you to Sheila for that kind gesture, Sheila is celebrating a birthday this week and so is Lynda a little later...and Jean an anniversary in February too!

Rachael made some lovely cupcakes with added sparkle......
                                                           _______________

It was my birthday on the Sunday and I couldn't resist putting the pictures on this post of all the flowers I was given, as I got so many. Starting with the roses from Leanne...

A posy of peach flowers...

Tulips of which there were two bunches from my friend.

White Carnations(or pinks really) and Iris from Lynda.

And finally some Daffodils from my sister, by this time I was running out of standard size vases. So the house looks very spring-like which can only make one feel better. Didn't I do well?

I got a little more storage from my sister that crafts, so she knows you can never have enough!

Love all the hearts, they match all my other hearts. Surprisingly I haven't filled them yet! If anybody is after this type of storage for your craft things they are from Sainsbury's.
And finally I thought I would just show you this tag that my sister added to my presents....................

Take care all and thanks for dropping by, I will be back soon with the new dates for the March and April classes.

Play day with Craftwork Cards Stash.........

Hi everybody, hope I find you all well.

Been a busy little bee with the February shaped cards at this end, which are all done and dusted, as they say, ready for this Saturday. At the moment it seems to be the best place to be...tucked away in the cosy little craft room only having to venture out if I run out of things, craft things I mean, not food, that's Stephen's pet love....
Wet and windy is on the menu around here, although it is a bit naff we have been extremely lucky unlike lots of folk down south. January over and done, February can be just as harsh, if not worse, so keep all fingers and toes crossed that it doesn't get out of hand... That's the weather bit over, I like to keep on top of that then I am prepared if anything drastic comes along.....

The nice bit now - the crafting.....

I got a few new goodies last week from the Dovecraft range:-
Black and white being the theme, 6"x6" paper pads with black and white card packs, doilies, pattern ribbon packs to co-ordinate with the papers, material covered brads and wooden buttons, they all look really nice together.

I have also got the Craftwork Cards Vogue collection for the home classes in February. Two afternoons, Sat. 15th and Sun.16th. I have been dying to have a play with this collection but had to put it at one side while I finished the shaped cards, otherwise the craft work space would have been down to an inch square! Stephen is disappearing for the weekend doing a good deed for his Aunt and Uncle, taking them to Lincolnshire to see their daughter. Stephen is looking forward to going round the cathedral there. So once again while the hubbie is away let the ladies play!!!!! That's what I'm thinking!!!

So here are the goodies:-

And here is one of the samples:-

                                                         Two pics at different angles.

Just got two more to do, so I will be off and play some more.....

Thank you for popping by.
Look forward to seeing some of you ladies at the weekend and for the rest, take care and hopefully see you soon.

P.S. Don't know if any of you have noticed the Pinterest board at the side of my blog post but when Leanne shows me how to apply it to my blog, I will put lots of crafting goodies on it and inspirational photos too.

My Second Class Already!

Hello everyone
Hope I find you all fighting fit and ready to craft away the January blues... although it is something I don't suffer from, I know some of you do. I work on the fact that we are on our way to better weather, (we can always live in hope) spring round the corner and plenty of craft things to keep us busy if it is a cold dark evening...whether you be a knitter, enjoy sewing which I love or a cardmaker, it's the time, really, when we are inside the most and crafting keeps us going.

We had a great time on the January class with the owls and sheep to keep us company on the cards that is, fresh colours, a change from the Christmas colours we have been using over the last few months.

The packs look great with the sheep ribbon on them!

Everybody had a surprise in their pack with a free ribbon tape to be used on one of their cards.....

A good day was had by all.

My February class on Saturday 8th called 'Get in Shape', uses lots of different shaped cards - with some new products from Craftwork cards. I liked the pun from Jean when I emailed her with the date for this class and the title and she asked me if she needed to bring a diet sheet, it took a while before the penny dropped, she has a great sense of humour and always has lots of funny tales to tell at the classes...obviously the sheet is not needed, it's a day to chat, EAT and of course make the cards. A great social community!

To start with: a collection of crafting goodies.

                                                Sneak peeks coming up....

The first card can be made as a birthday card or add a different sentiment and use it for a Valentines card.

This is one of the flower shaped cards below.

Last sample card....   a teaser as you can't quite see the shape, but I will give everyone on the class a template so they can make more......

Hope you like the samples, off to make the rest.
If you would like to come along to this class drop me an email.

I can't end the post without showing you a few photos of Charlie and his escapades.

I'm having a cup of tea and Charlie is having a rest too, on my heart card - he hadn't noticed the ribbon!
Sorting some clothes out for the charity bag, think they might have been donated with a few cat hairs!!!

And lastly it's a bit tricky this balancing lark!!!!
One paw down that should steady me.

If I get my skates on I should have another blog post for you very soon, as I am having a couple of classes at home in February 15th and 16th in the afternoons, making three cards with Craftwork Cards' Vogue collection. So will be back soon.
Take care all and thank you for dropping by.
