February Flowers....

Hi there, I am back with a floral card taken from the inspiration of a card by Julie Hickey who designed the stamps when Craftwork Cards used to have the packs and ideas.

The main card is stamped with the Rose from the stamp set. I have made a few now, each in different colours.

Close up:-

I have used a 6.5"x 5" (16.5cm x 13cm)-  White card.

I cut off 1" from the long side of the card. Attach a pink card to the inside back leaving a small white border edge. Die-cut a rectangle approx. 15.5cm x 10.5cm. Stamp the Rose stamp all over the card using the pink ink pad and clear embossing powder. Colour the leaves with a green Promarker pen and the Rose itself using the ink and a water brush. Stamp out five more Roses, colour and emboss as before then cut them out. Attach them to the card over some of the Roses. Attach the rectangle to the card just over the front edge as in the picture. Add the greetings on foam and add the two small hearts either side of the word 'birthday'. Tie a length of matching string around the front of the card.

Happy Valentine's Day...

 Good Afternoon,

Valentine's day this Saturday so I have designed a card, or it could be an Anniversary card.

A5 White card, landscape.

I stamped a border along the bottom using a check stamp and red ink, then stamped over the check with a heart stamp. Add a tiny strip of red card to finish off the border. Cut a length of pink button string across the width of the card with a knot at each end. Stick onto the card 4cm from the top of the card. Add red heart buttons to cover the knots. Die-cut three tags from the Daisy Mae Designs tag set, one medium in patterned card, two in the small, one patterned and one white card. Punch out the envelope in patterned card and assemble. Die-cut the small round and the small square tags and stamp out  the last tag using the stamp on patterned card, cut the stamped one out. Add greetings and hearts as in the picture above and add all the tags to the washing line using more button thread. Add the Valentine's greeting and the decorative edge around the card using one of the smaller stamps and the red ink.

Birthday card for February...

 Good Morning

I am back with a birthday card for birthdays in February. Violet is the flower for February, so I have made a card with a similar colour in mind.

Close up...

I have used a 7"x5" Scalloped White base card.

I die-cut the coloured card and attached to the main card, landscape, with the fold at the top. Die-cut two scalloped hearts 9.5cm x 8.5cm, one in the plain colour, one in a matching patterned card. Attached the patterned card to the centre of the main card. Fold inwards the plain heart 4.5cm from the bottom point. Leave 1cm from the fold and cut off the rest. Stick the fold down on to the inside of the heart and cut off any excess of the heart showing from the front. Follow the picture above. Attach this plain heart to the patterned heart, leaving a small amount of the pattern showing, but only stick along the left and right edges so that you can push the flowers down the centre later. Die-cut a smaller heart and add to the front of the main heart leaving enough room to fit the greeting above. Add a button and bow to this small heart. Die-cut flowers/hearts and stick down the pocket heart. I stamped a small flower to the four corners of the card and added Liquid Pearls in the centre of the flowers. Add a greeting.
