Daisy Trail....

 Hello there

The theme this time is the common Daisy which at the moment are all around now Spring has arrived. Daisy is the flower for April.

I have used the Cardio Majestix 'Dainty Daisy' which you can find here on my Ebay shop.

I have used a 6"x6" Kraft card so that the white Daisies using white embossing powder, show up better.

Die-cut an oval shape from the front of the card. Stamp a few of the Daisy stamps around the edge of the oval cut out using a Versamark ink pad. Cover with the white embossing powder and heat to set. Stamp the Daisies in the blue ink pad and the leaves with the green ink pad and emboss with the clear embossing powder. Add yellow Liquid Pearls to the centre of the white Daisies and a white liner pen to the centre of the blue Daisies. Cut out a smaller white scalloped oval and stamp a greeting in the centre. Add blue stamped Daisies around the greeting. I have added another greeting on Kraft card with the white embossing powder. Add the white liner pen to the middle of the blue Daisies. Attach the white oval to the centre of the card on the inside back. Run a stitch line with the fine liner pen around the main card and the oval.

Happy Mother's Day Card....

 Morning everyone

Been busy making a Mother's Day card this week, amongst other things. I love the Sunflower stamp from Creative Expressions and designed by Sam Poole. I have quite a few stamps from this talented lady. There is also a small stamp in the set, that I have used as a background on the front of the card and inside.

Inside the card using the small background stamp.

Cut down the yellow card to fit the main card leaving a gap at the top so you can ink it with the small background stamp. Emboss the yellow card and attach to the main card.  Die-cut the Rectangle and stamp the Sunflower, emboss and colour with the Promarkers. Using the green silk thread, weave through the holes on the rectangle. Add to your card. Stamp out another flower head in yellow card and fussy cut around. Add to the main flower with foam. Stamp out the sign, add a greeting and then cut out. Add the lace panel across your card and attach the sign with foam. Finish off with the Liquid Pearls in the centre of the flower.

Textured Bubble Card For Men....

 Good morning

I thought this time I would make a card for the men, using the Woodware Textured Bubble stamp. I used the Distress Oxide Ink Pads Antique Linen, Stormy Sky and Ground Expresso that go well together.

I inked a few pieces of white card using the ink pads, mixing the colours. I inked the three colours together using the lighter colour (Antique Linen) in the middle of the stamp, then the other two colours at each end. I die-cut the rectangles, four in all different sizes. I used a Kraft card for the main card and randomly stamped the Ground Expresso over the front section of the card. I attached the larger rectangle vertically to the card, wrapping string around three times before sticking down. Add the other rectangles to the card following the picture and weaving them through the string. Tie a bow with the string. Add the greetings.

I used a 6"x 6" Kraft Card.

Wishing You A Very Happy Day...

 Good afternoon

A birthday card for a friend who likes shades of Lavender etc. So the papers from Anna Marie where very apt. I also used some papers I had from Maja Designs which I have kept hold of thinking I might not cut into these. I think we may all have papers that are not for crafting with, but just for bringing out and just looking at. Notice I only used a small piece for the top of the card.

I cut the wood effect paper 3/4 way up the card and used the corner punch to round the corners at the bottom edge. Matched the paper at the top with the Maja paper, rounded the top corners then added to the card with the border die covering the join. I die cut two of the bows, one with a patterned paper, one with a plain paper and added them together, to make the bow. I added this to the centre of the border. In the centre of the bow I added a flower button and tie. I also added a few small flower buttons on the border. Finish off with a greeting.

I have used a 7"x 5" Scallop White card.

Spring Bunny with Daffodils...

 Good afternoon

I have designed this card using a scalloped shaped octagon die-set. Using a folded card and putting the die just above the fold (so it doesn't cut at the top), creates the shaped card. Cut two.

Attach the backs together following the picture above. I die-cut another scallop shape with which I stamped the image using black VersaFine ink pad and clear embossing powder. Coloured the images with Promarkers. Added the greeting and the bees. Attached the yellow satin ribbon to the front of the card, then attached to the front of the folded card. Stamp the image to the bottom front and coloured that too.

I used a white card.

Daffodils are coming up...

 Good morning

Daffodils are coming up among the grasses and borders. A lovely bright light which means Spring is just around the corner. Daffodil is the flower for March too. I have used the papers from Graphic 45 Fairie Wings Collection, 'Daffodil Dance' and the plain coloured card from Kaisercraft, 'Weave'.

I cut a length off the front of the card 4.5cm width. Used my die-cut to take out part of the rectangle at the front, 4cm from the bottom of the card and 3cm from the edge. Covered the front section with the Daffodil paper, die-cut the frame from the plain card and added it to the front. Cut a piece of the plain yellow for the inside back and embossed it before adding to the card. Stamped out the Daffodil, coloured it and then cut it out. I embossed the flower with clear embossing powder using the Versamark on the image. Add to the card with foam. Add a fancy die-cut edge and a greeting.

Shades of Purple...

 I designed this card with Violets in mind as February is the flower for this month. As I couldn't find the appropriate flower for the job I thought I would used the colour Violet instead. I have used Wilted Violet which is the Ranger Distress Oxide Ink Pad from the Tim Holtz collection. A lovely colour it is too.

I inked around the cut out large stamped image. Cut out the stamped butterfly to give it a lift. Wrapped the ribbon around before attaching to the main card, leaving enough room to stamp the words. Finished off with the Stickles and the gems.

A Collection of Crocus...

 Good afternoon,

I am back with a Spring-like card using the Cardio Majestix stamp set, 'Crocus Garden'. These little stamps are great for small cards and larger ones as they are also great for using as backgrounds. In this card I have used for both.

I have continued the stamping across the back of the card . Once you start stamping with these tiny stamps, you are not sure when to stop. Can become quite therapeutic, with great results.

Flower Bear.......

 Good afternoon,

I have created another Valentine's card, a small one using the Flower Bear stamp, from Woodware.

I have decoupaged the flowers he is holding and wrapped some coloured twine around the flower stems.

You can use different coloured card depending on what colour of bear you would prefer. I have used a pale grey to match the colour of ink on the letters.

I have used a small 5"x5" white base card and scored lines at one edge

One Frosty Morning
