Been kept busy with birthdays this month, Stephen started it off on the 1st July, then Leanne on the 2nd, then my nephew who was 18 on the 7th July, but got a bit of a break now until my friends on the 22nd.
The photo above was taken on Leanne's birthday when she took us into the local pub for tea...It's been great going out with her after so long where she has not been able to move from her bedroom. Roll on more trips out........
All this keeping me busy as well as doing the August class - Bright Stripes and Checks. I have loads of lovely colours in the striped papers with ribbons and buttons to match too! Having a great time as always putting them together........
A lovely array, but which to use with a Papermania seaside stamp, blues come to mind....I will be working on that after I have finished this blogg, or should I say after a cup of tea....after the blogg!!!!!
The two cards below, that are the same are using a free Holly Hobbie stamp from the magazine- Cardmaking and Papercraft. Ideal for the striped theme I thought........
Bright red stripes for the backing and I coloured Holly Hobbie in with promarkers.
I've used a Stampendous stamp that I have used before on my second card. Stampendous have brought out another stamp that is smaller and can be stamped up to make a whole row of Ranunculus flowers. I love this stamp as it is made just for inking randomly, or as I have done for the class, used a water brush and a Ranger distressed inkpad, Pickled Raspberry. Not sure if you can make out the bright green striped button in the bottom right....
Hope you like the sneak peeks!!!!!
The Brights class is full but there are spaces on my future classes if anyone would like to come along.
Sat. Sept. 7th - Black, White and......
Sat. Oct.12th - Forever Autumn.......
Sat. Nov.2nd and 23rd are both Christmas classes (the same cards)
I ALSO HAVE A CHRISTMAS DECORATION CLASS ON SAT. DEC 14TH
Samples for the Sept., Oct., and Dec. classes will be put on the blogg as soon as I have them.
My hubbie is coming up to his busy period as he calls it, when he is often away and he has been given the opportunity to work in India with the Formula 1 team, so I am thinking that might be a good time to have small workshops at my house including another Christmas class, but I will have to sort out the dates and let you all know. I can possibly fit six ladies round a table so I could have a couple of classes during the week as well.
Watch this space if you fancy that!!!!
Me thinking while the cats away let the mice play!!!!!
Thanks for popping by and hopefully see you all soon.
Take care
